On-Site Heat Treating Facilities
Controlled heating and cooling of parts improves the microstructure and mechanical properties of the forging. Heat treatment is used for hardness control, stress relieving, grain refinement, part distortion control and improved machinability. When the design calls for heat treatment, ATI Portland Forge has the equipment and the experienced production and metallurgical staff to provide this vital service.
